Wendy Brown - Director
I came to Treehouse Preschool as a Me and My Parent teacher in Spring of 2006. I started training to be the administrator soon after that and became administrator in January 2007. Now, I am the director of the school and am responsible for the relationship between the school and the church. I have, however, been working with children since 1998 as a children ministry director and a high school teacher before that.
Our goal here at Treehouse Preschool is to provide a safe, social and educational atmosphere for preschoolers to learn about themselves, peers and the world around them. They do that learning through play. I love watching them experience new things, understand new concepts and become friends with new children. They are like sponges, soaking everything in they can and we try and fill up that sponge every day.
I have lived in the Akron area most of my life. I moved to New Wilmington, PA to attend Westminster College where I earned my bachelor’s degree in math and secondary education. I soon found that working with younger children was where I wanted to be. I went to the University of Akron for post graduate work in early childhood education and became the administrator of Treehouse Preschool.
My husband and I have two children, a daughter and a son, and we live in Tallmadge. I love to be crafty, watch CSI shows and be an active parent in my children’s lives.
Lisa Faloutico - Five Year Old Class Teacher
My name is Lisa Faloutico and I am a co-teacher in the 5 year old class. This is my seventh year with Treehouse Preschool. I bring with me over 13 years of preschool experience. I have an Early Childhood Development associate’s degree and I continue to further my education by taking early childhood development classes under the state of Ohio’s Early Learning Content Standards program.
My goal is to provide your child with a loving preschool experience encouraging him or her in social, emotional, physical and academic development. These, along with additional pre-reading and writing skills will have your children ready for the challenges ahead in kindergarten.
I love being a teacher; I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Working with this age group, providing them with opportunities to succeed and seeing their progression from the beginning of the year to the end, is the challenge I value most.
I reside in Stow with my husband and two sons. My hobbies include attending many sporting events, gardening, movies, reading and crafts.
Kim Stock - Five Year Old Class Teacher

I bring many years of teaching experience with me, teaching ages three through five.
I didn't know I wanted to be a teacher, It found me. I was a room parent in my child's preschool class and they asked me to be a substitute and the next year they took me on as an assistant!
I'm really happy to be a part of the Treehouse Preschool Family, since 2009. I enjoy watching the children grow and learn and I absolutely love teaching! I also work part time at the Tallmadge Recreation Center.
I live with my husband, our youngest daughter and dog Jacob, a black shepherd/lab mix we rescued.
I have three children and four grandchildren.
I enjoy movies, reading, gardening and yoga. I love being with my grandchildren!
Michelle Tokar - Four Year Old Class Teacher
My name is Michelle Tokar and I am thrilled to be co-teaching the Four-Year-Old Class. Having witnessed as a parent the nuturing and loving environment at Treehouse, I was eager to become part of what I saw happening here. My goal is to share my love of learning and school with the children. There is nothing more rewarding than watching them grow, mature, and gain independence throughout the year.
To give you a bit more background about myself, I grew up in Akron and graduated from Kent State with a bachelor's degree in psychology. I currently live in Tallmadge with my husband, our two daughters (both of whom are Treehouse graduates), a cat, and two dwarf hamsters.
Teri Lucas - Three Year Old Class Teacher
My name is Teri Lucas and I am co-teaching the three year old class with Sara Wagner. I am a Tallmadge High School graduate and I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University in 1992. I live with my husband, Keith, and our two children, both of whom are Treehouse Preschool graduates. It was an exciting experience for them both and prepared them well for kindergarten.
Teaching at Treehouse Preschool since 2004 has been a very rewarding experience for me. I love the one on one time that I can spend with each child because it really gives me the opportunity to get to know them. The growth that I see from day one to the last day of school is immeasurable!
Sara Wagner - Three Year Old Class and Enrichment Teacher
My name is Sara Wagner and I have the privilege of co-teaching with Teri Lucas in the 3 year old classroom. I grew up in Pennsylvania and received my degree from Penn State University. My husband and I moved to Tallmadge three years ago and absolutely love it. We have a 7 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. I have been in your shoes, experiencing the magic and mystery of a 3 year old in the not too distant past. What a privilege it is to come along side you as together we teach your student to learn not only ABCs and 123s, but also to be a great little citizen. I look forward to getting to know your family. In my free time I love to bike with my family; when everyone is riding on two wheels it is sweet freedom! I also like to decorate and read.
Joan Hall - Me and My Parent and Enrichment Teacher

My goal is to give the Me and My Parent students a fantastic first experience of school. I want them to gain confidence and independence, have pride in their accomplishments and feel prepared for their next years in preschool. To the Enrichment Class I hope to bring my enthusiasm for learning, my love for science and solving "mysteries".
